Sharp invest in Beach Solutions EASI-GEN™ tools to accelerate their

Sharp Microelectronics America, known worldwide for its innovative components,

EASI-GEN™ tools, to provide quality and reliable documentation and firmware
generation capabilities into their SOC development flow.
From a single master description of all address-mapped registers in an
Embedded System specification, EASI-GEN™ (EASI GENerator) creates a
maintainable and comprehensive library of C functions and macros to interface to
all devices in that System. It also automatically generates a product reference
manual and full C documentation giving immense savings in design engineering
resources and support effort. A second tool, called EASI-Programmer™ (EASI-P™)
allows structured access to the C-libraries produced, enabling fast
development of device drivers and application software.
EASI Tools are useful for hardware developers doing chip design testing,
software developers wanting a clean, reliable programmers interface to hardware
devices, and for design documentation. The tools are suitable to support
developers of PLDs, ASICs, and ASSPs as well as designers of applications
using standard products.
